The Paint is Dry!

Before discussing the paint, over the holidays Addison and I officially decided on the entire name. We are going with Turner Dean Seifritz! I am SO proud of myself for actually making this decision so early. I truly thought he would be about a week old and still not have a name. It has to be the biggest decision. I told Addison I'm going to give the name to my 6th graders and have them come up with anything possible they could think of to be mean--I know the kids already like Turner because there is a Turner in the other pod and he is perfect. I told my students I'm going to follow him around so I can see how a 'Turner' acts. They just laughed.

So! Introducing Turner Dean Seifritz's bedroom!!

The paint is dry! I first have to thank my wonderful husband for taking the two days and numerous hours to do this. He was a trooper and it looks amazing! I was there to support him and bought him oreos, triscuits, and salt and vinegar chips for a little thank you. :) (oh..and I took pictures!)

We started with a flat blue that covered the entire room. I was really surprised I went the route of a 'true' blue for his room, but I truly love it! I know it won't be long before he goes from my baby blue to mmm...let's see green, brown, orange otherwise known as camouflage. :)

Addison started with a huge smile and rearing to go attitude!

Then there came the stripes. We had some issues with the leveler so he had to make trips to Home Depot a few times, but then he was on a 'roll'! This was the most time consuming part and Addison still kept a great attitude. The best part is he did it the correct way. If I did it, it would look NOTHING like this and I would be in tears at some point.

Painting the semi-gloss stripe! As he was doing this I just prayed there would be a difference for it to all be worth it in the end.

Ta Da! I hope you can tell in the pictures, but it looks really good.

Happy camper to be done! Those are the two balls of tape he consumed from the project.

I was so happy with it and can't wait to decorate! All the bedding and curtains are getting made and can't wait to see it all put together! Yeah!!

Christmas fun!

What an amazing Christmas season! Addison and I were talking last night about how excited we are about next Christmas having a little 9 month running around. Turner has been a partying fool lately hanging out with so many wonderful people! We had Bunco cookie exchange, two friend gatherings at the casa, and celebrated my mom's birthday and anniversary yesterday.  We are both just relaxing today before we go, go, go for the next three days. Over the weekend Addison is going to paint the baby room--I'm SO looking forward to getting rid of the peachy pink and having the proud color of blue for his room! I wrapped all our Christmas gifts in blue (I know--I'm corny) in honor of our little boy being with us at Christmas even if he isn't visually seen! :)
I have been on a quest of finding some pregnancy reads that's not just the medical books. I found a great one, Jools Oliver: The Diary of an Honest Mum that I've just loved the past few days. Since pregnancy is all I think about, it's great to read about it! I bought a few others that I'm looking forward to reading.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and the best New Year! I know this one will be a year Addison and I will never forget.

Another Good Dr Visit!

Nothing too exciting except she said a perfect heartbeat--let's hope we hear that all through my parent meetings. :) As I went on and on about holiday weight and trying to get on the treadmill (I feel like I'm at my weight watchers meeting confessing what I am NOT doing...) she just sits and smiles. I love my DR!

My changing table is going to be here on Wednesday! I am so happy about it!! I am getting prepared to get everything ready over the holiday break before round two of school and the play hits before this little boy is born! And when I say I--I mean Lydia, Sonya, and Natalie helping with their love and eye for decorating!!
I can't believe it has been almost 6 months! I loved it, the other day a colleague said I looked tired but he didn't want to say anything. Then someone followed with, yeah we don't have our Katy on speed like we have in the past. I love that is how they see me in my normal state :) Well, I can tell them right now that ship has sailed!

Daschund Craze!

When I walked out of Gymboree with one of everything from their Daschund line, I felt SO guilty. This baby thing is expensive! I luckily have a husband who didn't even bat an eye when he saw it all on the crib... cute looking! :) He just smiled and commented on how he loved the color. I couldn't resist!

I then had this BRILLIANT idea to put PoPo and Quicken in front of the crib to place on our Christmas card...well...if you look closely 'mom of the year' put 2009 that the baby is due not 2010. I am scratching the entire idea anyways and going a different route....You can tell they were SO excited about this.

Wonderful Marcy!

(As Addison took the picture, he states how I shouldn't do this pose... I did anyways :).)
Marcy bought me the cutest shirt! It was so sweet for her to think of me with her needing to buy things for herself with being pregnant. I wore the shirt to work today and my students loved it!!

PoPo looks like he has somewhat of an attitude..I hope this is no indication on how he will be when Baby Seifritz does come!

My Crib and wonderful husband!

Today my crib arrived and Addison surprised me by having it all put together by the time I got home. He tried to surprise me, but I didn't pick up on any subtle hints. He finally just said go look in the baby's room! I love it!

Addison also took time this weekend to take his friend's kids hunting. This letter is what he got in the mail. Too cute! He is going to be such a good daddy :).

Growing like a weed!

A little more bumb! My students are beginning to talk to the belly and ask what he is doing. Too cute!

I went and saw Rachel and Justin's little cuties! I dropped Kinley's pacifier, so she wasn't too happy. Ava loved me because I brought her Ritz! They both are so sweet, and Rachel's baby rooms inspired me! I now have a project for Addison.

My Nieces!

I am going to be seeing my nieces next weekend and can't wait! They are so sweet when I talk to them on the phone. I just think about how much I adore them, and can't believe it will be that way for me next year with my own! They make every day so special. Kyleigh celebrated her 2nd birthday yesterday. I can't wait to celebrate Kyleigh's birthday next week!!

Hunter-Fisher

Yes. Last night there was a discussion between Addison, Aaron, and myself about naming our children Hunter and Fisher (Aaron beginning it all). Addison said, "Our boy will be Hunter.Aaron when you have one you can name your child Fisher." Aaron then replied, "You be Fisher, you're the fisherman, mine will be Hunter."
I didn't think it really needed to be such an indepth converstaion, but a great idea on Aaron's part! I thought, we should of had this discussion long ago and I wouldn't of had to think of baby names! We will name our first girl Fawn.....  Got to love this baby talk!

On a side note, my crib is ordered and the bookshelves for the room!  Woo hoo!

Name That Body Part!

First of all, quote of the day: Today in class we were talking about food. One student asked what I had for dinner last night and so forth. At the end a boy said, "Maybe if you eat hot food, your baby will be hot." He then got embarrassed thinking he should'nt of said that. I thought it was too cute! Like my genes wouldn't be enough?! Love my students!

Today we had a full ultrasound for Baby Boy Seifritz. It was so funny because I was saying, "Is that the head?" The nurse would say, "No, that's the stomach." I then would say, "Is that the leg?" "No..that would be too big for a leg" It was fun!

The heartbeat was 147--healthy! (Aren't you proud of me, Marcy?!) Almost weighs one pound! She said he looks healthy. I will get the full results on Monday. She said the computer calculated my due date as March 27th and so March 29th is still the due date! She said it fluctuates.

We don't have a picture of it, but the face stared straight at the screen! I got to see the little eyes. His one arm was wrapped behind his back.

I read to him last night before bed! (Thanks Rachel for the wonderful book) I now know where the head is tonight so PoPo doesn't look at me like I'm crazy! Of course, he just thinks I'm reading to him.

Halloween Tradition

The Williams family always stops by for a little trick or treat. Blake was a boxer and Berkley was a bumble bee. Quicken is going to be the best big sister! (You can see that PoPo is not around...he was locked up in the room :)  Quicken just played and licked Blake. Blake loved it!

Aaron did a great job on Blake's eye! It made me excited about dressing up the little guy next Halloween. It's crazy to think he will be 7 months next year at this time! Wow!

Maybe a decision made...

My sister-in-law is doing a wonderful job of finding items for me to design the baby room! Below is a fabric I love! I am getting towards a decision. Yes, I may not have a baby name picked out, but I have cute fabric to go in the room. :)
Lydia is doing a great job on making me have a goal and make decisions. Anyone who knows me, knows this could change by tomorrow, but for now, I do like this one! I don't know exactly for what..I haven't consulted with Lydia. :)

Telling the family!

Obviously, this hasn't happened recently, but I forgot I took pictures of what I did to let the family know we were pregnant!
I had so much fun with this. I went and bought onsies to represent each person. I bought a Grandma onsie for each Grandma. Bought my dad a bib that said I love my Grandpa and then a different personality to represent. For example, Aaron's had guitars on it and said Born to Rock N' Roll. You can tell by the pictures what each one looks like.
We just told them we had a gift for them and it went from there. Everyone was pretty shocked!
The best part was besides my dad, Debbie and Aaron noone really got it right away! It was so fun to see their reaction.

Baby Bumb Seifritz

I am glad I have people to remind me to do things like take pictures of my belly. I've thought about it, but the only time it crosses my mind I'm in my oversized pajamas laying in bed about to start sleeping away! I finally got around to it this week. Nothing big, but a little somethin' somethin'.

Trying to do the Mother Pose :)

Working 9-5..or longer!

I thought of creating a meal around the sex of the baby to tell our family, but we knew it would take too long to get everyone together, so I did it for my other family at school! It was all themed around a BOY! I didn't tell anyone and slowly everyone started figuring it out. I even wore blue today! It was a lot of fun!

My favorite was the BLUE jello with SNOWMEN in it!

In between making a meal and teaching all day, I was able to squeeze in a few hour shift at the McDonald's to raise money for our school. My coworker, Bonnie, thought I had a knack for it all! She loved my energy when I served the sauces and cups. I first had the shift outside greeting the customers at the drive thru window. They really enjoyed having a personal greeter! :)
