Fake Cry

I had a somewhat low this week...

For some reason, Turner won't let me read any of his books to him recently. I  end up reading the book to myself because he says, "No, Mommy" and walks off or he takes the book out of my hands and puts it back. I have tried to let him read the book to me, pick the book out..and so forth. He won't budge! Breaks.My.Heart. I was even the cool mom and bought him the summer reading tshirt from the FPL thinking that would help :).

Anyways, yesterday I picked up Super Sid walked back to the living room to read it to him. He proceeded to take the book from my hands (which I've been discussing with him how he is not the 'boss man of the house', but that's another day). As he took it out of my hands and proceeded to walk back to his room to put it back, (which he is very anal on putting things back where they belong, but that's another day) I started to fake cry. I placed my hands over my face, pouted, cried, told Turner how I just wanted to read him a story, wiped my tears... Turner stopped before going around the corner...stared at me...then started walking backing saying, "Here, Mommy. Read book." He placed the book in my hands, leaned on me while putting his hands around my shoulder and listened to me read the book.

I guess I'm still somewhat of the boss man of the house...just in my own way :). So pathetic.

Pass It On

I love my world with Turner!
The big, blue eye boy has captured...
Love

 Laughter

Joy

and I can't wait to see what's in store for tomorrow!

For now, this blog is off to the press.
I captured Turner's moments that have flown by! I hope he enjoys reading this one day as much as I've enjoyed writing it. He makes it easy to tell his story and I know for the rest of his life he will have the greatest stories to tell.

Two notes I leave for Turner:
1. Mommy was very tired and busy as she was taking time to create your moments to babyseifritz.blogspot.com, so please look over careless errors. Yes, as writers we always should check our work, but as your mother, we will just see nothing but devotion and love written on these pages.
2. "It only takes a spark to get a fire going. And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing. That's how it is with God's love. Once you've experienced it, you spread his love to everyone.
You want to pass it on."
(I sing this to him each night before he goes to bed.)

And one for our readers:
I would appreciate anyone who has kept up with my blog to leave a comment for Turner, so it will be printed in his book to read! Love you all!!

That's How He Rolls

A boy on a mission
Time: 7:30-8:00 am
Where: Backyard
Goal: Hike it to Daddy's shop
Mission not accomplished..and never will be anytime soon. :)

Loving this MAY weather. It's this month that makes it very hard to go to work...four more weeks..
BUT on Saturday and Sunday it's fun time outside before morning nap. The air is crisp and cool, birds chirping, and the world is waiting for Turner!

We put his shoes on outside his PJs..and let him roll.
He thinks he's made his escape!
He's rolling as fast as those little feet can take him towards the shop..high, wet grass doesn't stop the little guy!

Darn! I was caught. Back to starting line..but he's never giving up. Too bad Mommy will win at this war..anyone who knows me, I will be on him like white on rice...and Daddy's mission- G-A-T-E! Backyard mission as started this week. CAN'T WAIT!
 He feels defeated...
We distract him by showing him MR. Turtle. This is one of my most stressful times of year on the road...turtle crossings..I hate seeing those little things on the road..
He just tapped on it..and wasn't that amused.

Played with a leaf and PoPo. At one point he looked like he was bent over pulling weeds. I was happy someone was doing it!

The cat, Squirrel, was not really happy that we were messing up his morning routine. Turner didn't skip a beat!

Hahaha! You will never catch me!

Love my little determined boy who won't give up!

My special gift from Turner on Mother's Day. He made this at school on Friday. It was my first work from school, but his second art work to say Happy Mother's Day (Thank you Grandmama) and I was super excited!!

This was this morning...7:15..haven't had my coffee...very tired..but loving the day with Turner. Turner decided to bless me with high pitch screaming and talking while I was to be 'sleeping in' for a solid hour. He was just not understanding why I wasn't up playing with him on the day he made happen! :)
Addison was sweet and had breakfast, flowers, and coffee brewed before I could even wake up fully. We had blueberry pancakes and bacon. It was a great morning to just spend with my boys.

"I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life." -Lincoln

Presto! I'm looking fresh and oh so clean. That's what I'm talking about on being a mother! :)

Loves Aunt Natalie.
They came over to spend Saturday evening with Debbie. She got a great kiss from Turner! He's so sweet.

"A mother's heart is as big as the World!"

Going on a ride with Moppy!
I was so glad to see Moppy over Mother's Day weekend! She adores Turner! She's such a wonderful person, friend, and momma!
This is Debbie's friend Kennedy. She is precious and I wish she lived closer because I would have her hanging out at my house all the time! She loved me taking pictures of her.
"A mother is someone who can take the place of everyone else, but no one in the world can take her place"

 Oh, good Mom! Another picture...great...
Mother's Day family portrait..and Turner decides to act his best :)
Celebrated with my moms after church. We had lunch at The Grill and then to Grandmama's for some outside fun!
Aunt Roni enjoying the day with us!! Roni has the biggest heart and is always there when I need her! Turner loves her. He stares at her from across the room and just big smiles!

"Grace was my mother's steps, heaven was in her eyes, in every gesture dignity and love."

I love my momma! We are two peas in a pod! I don't think there's a day I don't talk to her (and I know she watches Turner, but I am always gone before she gets there and home after she leaves unless Addison is out of town) If you look, we have the exact same smile..and sense of humor!
He loves all the jungle gyms (Which I'm about to steal to bring to my house:)
He loves going up and down the slides.

"If at first you don't succeed; do it the way your Mother told you to."
 Peek-A-Boo, I LOVE you!
Ok, Mom..I'll be good and pose just this once.
Loved hanging with Uncle Beej! They've been really good buds lately on helping with his new house. I know Turner can't wait to have a sleepover!
We then were off to Shugie's after his afternoon nap!
I am very blessed to have such a wonderful mother-in-law! Shugie is always looking out for us and there when I need her. I love all the memories we have shared!
He was right on his afternoon roll laughing and hanging with Shugie, Aunt Natalie, and West.

Turner and I watched Shugie cut some of her beautiful roses.
 Turner loved smelling them

""As a mother, my job is to take care of the possible and trust God with the impossible." -Ruth Bell Graham
Oh, Daddy..all the hard work we've done to make Mother's Day special. I LOVE my boys!
Momma Shugie, Addison and Turner... who looks simply pitiful again for a Mother's day photo opt
We then let him climb the stairs a few times! I went with him the first time and he would stop every so often step and look back and look so proud. Shugie has a gate, so we let him get his fix before we closed shop and will never see stairs again :).
Loves playing with her vents. He sits directly on top of it and let's the cool air drift up! He will sit and look out the window and talk away. He then carries the plastic part around the house. The simple toys.

"No matter how old a mother is, her children will always be her babies."

Aunt Natalie was sweet and made dinner for us all! West helped in the kitchen. Turner loved Aunt Natalie's peaches! Thank you Natalie for a wonderful dinner and being so sweet!
Uncle Aaron got back in town to spend time with the family! Tman loved seeing his Uncle Aaron. So much he really wanted to share all of his food with him!

I've not only had an incredible mother that raised me, I also am surrounded by wonderful women that are great examples of what Mother's Day stands for. I thank all of them for everything they do for me and especially Turner. I am so proud to be in their category now as a mother.

"If I could choose from all the mothers in the world, Mom, I'd choose you."
This little man is not only why I'm a proud mother today, but each morning I wake up and each night I rock him to sleep I celebrate being a mother. This day is just a moment to pause and be grateful I've been blessed with a healthy boy, Turner Dean.

Take Me Somewhere FUN!

I was behind on my grading..well I always am. But I really needed to grade and I was going to just stay up at work until it was all done, but it was the day of 'the rain' so I quickly got home with my bags of papers. Turner doesn't let me do much on my own. He wants to be all up in momma's business. One side of me wants to cherish it and just soak it up..but then reality hits with papers. I decided to just stick him in the chair and let him work on reading comprehension. :) He made an A.

Little five second fits. He's been doing this a lot lately. He's expressing himself with much emotion what he does and doesn't want at that moment. I'm hoping this is usual for his age..I really thought it wasn't until two they did this.... mmmm...

THE picture. What more can you say? The look..the hair..the moment. Just a little joy ride on a pretty afternoon led to a picture I know we will be using for many years to come. LOVE HIM!
Loves to boogie to Ellen. If I could capture him on how he reacts and dances when he sees her on TV, we would for sure be attending a show! He just loves her. He just stops and watches. He then wants to stand on the ottoman and wiggle his bottom and sing out.
Eating like a big boy with his milk. He loves these little bowls now and he looks so cute using them!
Anywhere Momma is, it's fun! My mom had him in this and they went to Walmart and a lady said, "I hope it gets more fun than this!:" Loved it! My mom is so great on doing fun activities with Turner every day of the week. Like in the above picture, she had him coloring me a picture!
I love giving him that 80s look at a young age. Nothing better than short green shorts, white socks, and shoes!
He is a hat boy. I'm determined to find him cute hats since there's nothing out there for boys and cuteness. He makes me proud because he simply loves his hats.
I feel from this picture he's going to blurt out, "I love you, Mum!"

Turner has been preparing for his girlfriend's birthday! She turned one on May 6th and she looked cute on her special day!! We then had a fun party at the swimming pool..well all the other kids had fun. Tman still is not liking that pool. I'm hoping it's that particular pool and not pools in general. It doesn't make sense since he loves water. Marcy had the cutest decorations and theme! Loved it all!

I want her to become a Fancy Nancy fan. LOVE these books!
How clever is this?? Too cute!
Ate the cupcake like a champ! We were telling Turner that's how you eat your 1st Birthday cupcake :)
Again, did not like the water..

Turner loves Ryan and Teresa. He is at that particular stage where I'm his #1 fan wherever we go. He gravitates towards them and will let them hold him, walk around with him, and like this cute picture..cuddle with him. They live close by, so Teresa let me know what time you want Turner to stop by! :)
 Precious birthday girl!!
We love our sweet Campbell. She had so much fun on her 1st birthday. Turner just adores her. He gave her this cute little heart box that had a cute owl shirt handmade for her and a pink ring pop sitting on the top. He then wrapped it with a cute pink bow and a heart attached.. he's such a thoughtful little boy!
Happy 1st!
Love,
Turner
